This 17.5 lb Carp had unusual culinary requirements when it was caught earlier in the week. The large canal common was caught at the Bingley 5 Rise stretch by Jodie Richardson, who was fishing for pike with a deadbait sprat!

the carp on the bingley canal stretch must like sprats! as 2 weeks earlier my freind also hooked in to a very nice carp above dowley gap locks when fishing dead sprats for pike! unfortubatly the hook pulled on it, just as it was about to be netted! so think i mite have ago at making some spat boilles!you never know, is worth a try! watch this space! jodie
